100 Years in the Market

The Pike Place Market is a living history of the evolution of food distribution in the US and an incredible story of Seattle. What started as a rebellious pop up shop in the Fall of in 1907 grew into a a haven for farmers, immigrants, titans of Seattle business and the marginalized members of society. The Market proved fertile grounds for businesses such as Starbucks, Seattle’s Best Coffee, Sur La Table and Pike Place Fish.

The project included creating an outline, writing the manuscript, art directing photo shoots, sourcing materials and months of research.
